Recycling Policy Statement

Prowaste Management Services has been committed to recycling and reducing landfill waste since the company commenced trading in November 2006. Our approach to recycling has been developed on principles of economic and environmental sustainability.

We aim to be innovators in recycling construction and demolition waste and are the first company in London to provide colour coded waste separation tools to maximize recycling efficiency. We have identified the six key waste streams that arise on construction projects and have found recycling solutions for all of them. We constantly monitor the waste streams we collect and are always searching for new recycling options.

We aim to help our clients avoid sending waste to landfill sites whenever practical and promote waste separation at the point of creation on all of our projects. We try whenever possible to collect individual waste streams and take them directly to recycling facilities. Off site and in the office we also encourage our employees to dispose of waste correctly.

We are committed to developing our recycling and environmental policies in order to further reduce the production of waste through good working practice, economic recycling or reuse.

Our recycling policy has the following specific aims:

»  Promote economy in the use of paper and other consumables.

»  Encourage the purchase of recycled materials and those which are suitable for disposal by recycling.

»  Favour suppliers with sound environmental principles and positive recycling and waste management practices.

»  Minimise waste by encouraging the exchange and reuse of equipment and materials amongst departments.

»  Develop a waste management strategy which accommodates recycling procedures and initiatives.

»  Continue to develop and improve the range and scope of recycling schemes we offer.
